Yet more toy recalls…

By , September 5, 2007 8:31 am

The toy manufacturers have obviously been working 24-7 testing all their China-built toys for lead paint, and Fisher Price and Mattel have come up with some new recalls. Check the CPSC Website for full details, but if you have any Barbie accessories, Fisher Price Big Big World 6-in-1 Bongo Band toys, or Fisher Price Geo Trax train sets, then you had really better check it out.

It’s a sad world we live in, isn’t it? Thank goodness we don’t have any of the toys in question. I wonder what line of bull the toy companies will come up with for the holiday shopping season?

We have…or, shall I say…HAD some GeoTrack toys. They were given to me four years ago by a friend whose sons had already played the heck outta them. They were pretty old, but I wasn’t taking any chances. And I cried and I whipped of those pieces into the trash bag today. Yeah, crappy day today.

This is just ridiculous! It really makes me very angry! Just how many “oops, we didn’t know we were using lead based paint” B.S. excuses can be swept away!?

Sorry for the rant… so glad I don’t have any of those toys.
