Wheel – Weekly Unplugged Project

By , October 12, 2009 8:00 am

The theme for this week’s Unplugged Project is wheel.

We are in Albuquerque for the long holiday weekend, but we did do a wheel Unplugged Project.  I of course forgot to pack my camera cable, so photos (and my post) will have to wait until mid-week when we are home again.  I think this is kind of a cool one, so be sure to check back later in the week to see it!

(October 16th NOTE:  My post is up now, we made a salad spinner zoetrope!)

I did want to get the Linky up now though for anyone else who is ready to link to their wheel Unplugged Project.

If you didn’t do a wheel project, then please don’t link but feel free to read more about how the Unplugged Project works here.  We’d love to have you join us!

The theme for next week’s Unplugged Project will be another really loose one:

The Letter B

Please join us!

We made a week calendar to go with our weather ‘chart’. We put the names of the days around a cardboard wheel and we turn it each day to show what ‘today’ is. Looking foward to hearing what you did!

Thanks for posting these idea starters! I’ve really enjoyed your blog so far.

This was our first “Unplugged” project. The kids really got into it.

I don’t usually buy Cheerios, but I did last week. I’m glad I had them today! Usually they like the “idea” of having them and they don’t really eat them. At least when they get tossed out today, they will have served some purpose first.

I’ve never really understood the color wheel… this was an awesome way to make it. My computer chose last night to do an automatic restart so all the cool websites I left up to help me vanished… sorry I don’t have those links to post.

Oh! And I just remembered! We are going to attempt to make a globe from legos too! http://creative.lego.com/en-us/Familytime/buildinginstructions/BuildingInstructionsmonthly.aspx?month=September&year=2009

I am glad you are enjoying my blog and thank you so much for joining in! I look forward to visiting your Cheerio project later. I checked out your Lego globe link and that looks like fun too. I hope you post a picture! Thanks again and I’ll stop by for a visit!

That sounds like a fun idea. And at least the days in Tasmania don’t change as fast as the weather! ;-)
