Charades For Kids

By Mom Unplugged, February 14, 2007 8:20 pm

This is a board game version of charades that we all love (ours is an older version, but I think it is the same).

I think the best thing about this game is that picture cards are included so that even little players who can’t read can join in the fun. Also, you can use the picture cards to play without the board if you like.

This is a great family game night choice for all ages. We grownups have as much fun with this as the kids. For the adults, it beats Chutes and Ladders any day!

Haba Story Telling Tin

This is such a wonderful, yet simple idea. I wish I had thought of it!

The little travel-sized tin contains many sturdy cardboard picture cards. Children make up stories based on the picture cards they choose.

Very creative, and great for travel as it comes in a small tin.

Available here or Google “haba story telling tin.”

Squishy Rattle for Babies

By Mom Unplugged, February 5, 2007 9:42 pm

A favorite toy of all three of my babies has been a squishy, atomic-like structure of beads and elastic which has earned this toy the affectionate family nickname of “Molecule.”

Our version had jingle bells which greatly add to the fun. Unfortunately the jingle bells are gone now, but Skwish is still fun and comes in many different color schemes.
