The Saga of the Erroneous Dash

By , January 13, 2008 10:36 am

Hooray!!! Success!!! After two days spent obsessing over the tech problem I have been having, it is solved. I had put a dash in the code when it should have been an underscore!

Unbelievable. Two days of my life wasted because of an erroneous dash.

The good news is that I can stop obsessing about computer code and clean the house before my children disappear beneath a pile of rubble. I might even get to my own Unplugged Project today too! Reminder: the theme this week is sculpture. Please join us!

Hurray for you for figuring out the problem! Those darn computers are so literal, aren’t they? I haven’t been around much lately either- all my time has been spent on CJ’s cold and potty training. I think my brain is turning to mush.

I am glad it was something simple though often those are the hardest things to figure out!

    Pleased you found the problem.

We hope to join you in the project tomorrow, but like you, it’s going to be a last minute thing.

Well, it’s a good find for you. But not for me, and I am selfish. You will be going to word press soon now. But I do know that great feeling when you solve a programming problem! It’s awesome.

I’ve been horribly swamped with work and life — well mostly work for the past few weeks. We have participated to a limited extent in your weekly projects… We made snowflakes and talked about our goals, did puzzles (although we never had time to make one), and had fun with play-doh. I didn’t want you to think that I had vanished because I am very much here… When things slow down, we’ll really take a more active role and create more.

Thanks again for your wonderful ideas…
