A shirt??? Wow. My kids would not choose clothing, not yet anyway, give the girls another 7 years or so and that’s probably what they’ll be wanting! Trick or Treat for UNICEF is cool! How’d he do?

We have been doing the trade-candy-for-gift thing every year. This year he chose a shirt (that’s right, a shirt, not a toy… you’d think I don’t dress him properly!), but I really like this idea better. He is doing trick or treat for UNICEF this year, though.

We have a visit from the Halloween Witch every year. She works in conjunction with the Tooth Fairy because only “healthy” teeth get money when they fall out. The kids get to keep 10-12 pieces of candy and then they pile the rest into the middle of the living room floor. The Halloween Witch comes and trades on Halloween Night. In years past, the Witch has left books or stuffies. This year she was going to leave a movie but in the spirit of promoting health, she is more likely going to bring pool passes for the whole family so we can go swimming together next week. We are always trying to promote getting out and doing things together as a family. When the kids are no longer believing in fairies and witches I think I will give the candy bank a try. Thanks for sharing.
